What's the difference between each level?

Absolute Beginner

Perfect for those that have no prior experience. Each dance is walked through, each step and pattern broken down step by step and each wall is practiced before putting the dance to music.

New dance is taught every 4 weeks.

Beginner

Steps are broken down, dances are walked through at a quicker pace as a reminder. Knowledge of basic steps and patterns are assumed which have been taught in the absolute beginner classes, so some patterns may not be broken down step by step e.g grapevine.

New dance taught every 3 weeks.

High beginner

This is perfect if you want to stay following the beginner hour to learn a new dance as a new dance is introduced every 2 weeks. There may also be some low improver teaches taught in this class. You will start to build on the steps learned in the beginner class to start towards improver level.

New dance taught every 2 weeks.

Improver

If you feel you're ready to step up to the next level then the improver class is for you. This is when you have a good knowledge of the basic steps, and feel comfortable with directional changes and more complex patterns e.g sailor steps, monterey turns, cross shuffles. Routines that have been danced in class for a while are not always walked through before putting to music.

There may also be some intermediate teaches mixed in.
