About me
Hi, my name is Sarah and I’ve been line dancing for over 10 years, I started in Florida, USA and I was instantly hooked. I've then been back home in the UK attending local classes but they were never quite the same as the line dance atmosphere I found in The States. So I set myself a mission to start a class in my local community centre, I became a qualified line dance teacher in 2024 and the rest is history.
I teach 3 evenings a week in and around Chesterfield. You can view these under 'class schedule' and get booked in - I can't wait to see you there!
Vision
I began Outlaw Stompers to share my passion and create a community where people can come together to laugh, dance and create new friendships. Everyone is welcoming and when you step through those doors you feel like you belong.
What makes me different
My line dance classes stay very much up to date with those being danced out in the USA dance halls and having a very modern approach. If you ever wanted to feel like you are in the Footloose movie then these classes are for you. Monthly socials are focused on bringing that American bar/dance hall vibe - lights, boots, hats and music!
Core values
Mental Health - The social side of line dancing is one of my favourite positives, creating new friendships and feeling like you're part of the community is great for your mental health and well-being.
Giving it a go - Everyone started at a beginner at some point, we all are each others cheerleaders and push each other to keep going. We love it if we get steps wrong and end up facing the wrong way, it's all part of the learning process and builds your confidence.
Fun - The most important one, forget your worries and focus on moving and dancing like no one's watching.
